The Role of Police Sketch Artist During Criminal Investigations

Working Procedure and Requirements of Law Enforcement Agencies

The Role of Police Sketch Artist during criminal investigation is one of the new and innovative technique discussed by Michael W. Streed. The main objective of the lecture is to aware every attendee with role of police sketch artist and its significant role in identifying the criminal identity with the purpose to add value as an investigative resource. The need of police sketches is majorly for the cases where there is lack of evidence to identify suspect and criminal or murder victim. The lecture focus is more into delivering how to make the sketch of facial composites with digital method with the help of digital painting software and digital pen displays. The lecture also cover 3D facial reconstructions, software driven solution, remote sketch interviews, post-mortem image etc.
