Dr. Jyoti Singh
Dr. Jyoti Singh is a Senior Assistant Professor (Forensic Science) at Amity University, Noida. She completed her Master’s in Forensic Science from Dr. B.R.A. University, Agra in the year 2001. She joined Amity University after completing her Ph.D. work from Indian Institute of Toxicological Research (IITR), Lucknow in the year 2008. Her PhD research work mainly focuses on assessment of exposure to lead (Pb) as a risk among women suffering from malignant and benign breast lesions. Again, emphasizing on the heavy metal toxicity related to women’s health, she had also investigated placental lead exposure and its interaction with essential metals like Ca, Zn, Cu and Fe in non-occupationally exposed women. Additionally, studied also the effect of different pesticides (organophosphates, carbamates and pyrethroides) on blood AChE and BChE activity, health effects and their relationship with redox status of pesticide sprayers and reported inhibitory effect on natural detoxification mechanism of human body. Palm prints, Documents and Handwriting Examination are also her field of research. She has made over 100 scholarly contributions, including nearly 30 peer-reviewed research papers. Presently four research scholars enrolled with her and three scholars already awarded with PhD under her guidance. She is also the reviewer of some reputed peer-reviewed journals. She has been actively contributing in the field of Forensic science for the last 20 years.
