Nouzia Noordeen
Nouzia Noordeen is currently working as Assistant professor and Head of the Department, SAFI Collège, Calicut. She has done her Psychology under-graduate from PSG College, Coimbatore and completed her master’s degree in psychology from the Department of Psychology, University of Calicut. She specializes in Forensic Psychology, Adolescent Psychology and Criminology. She has M.Phil in Psychology where her topic reflected cyber addiction among children and adolescents. She has also completed her PhD work where the study focused on children in conflict with law. She has three years field experience as well as five years research experience with children and adolescents as part of her M.Phil and doctoral study. She has interacted and done training programs for those children who are in conflict with law and those who are in need of care and protection. She has experience in counselling, clinical as well as the educational sector. She has trained in behavior therapies and psychological test administration. She has conducted academic workshops as a resource person for students, parents and teachers and experience as consultant psychologist. She has done her PhD pre submission presentation as part of a PhD programme at the Department of Psychology, University of Calicut. She qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) and secured first position in the MSc Psychology (University of Calicut). As part of the PhD programme, she has done teaching and other academic work including preparing modules, handling different academic sessions for postgraduate students. She has presented about 14 research works at international as well as national conferences and also published more than seven research articles in journals.
