Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (BPA) is the study and analysis of bloodstains found at the crime scene to draw conclusions about the nature, timing, and other details of the crime and identify suspects.

This forensic science technique of using bloodstains as evidence has been used for ages. However, since the late 1950s, BPA experts have claimed to be able to use biology, physics (fluid dynamics), and mathematical calculations to reconstruct events at a crime scene with accuracy, and the justice system has also accepted these claims.

For example, the shape of blood droplets might be used to draw conclusions as to how far away the victim was from a gun when he or she was shot.

This webinar on "Introduction to Bloodstain Pattern Analysis", will focus on different types of bloodstain patterns, how to use their physical nature to decipher meaningful insights about the crime, and the history behind this analysis technique.
