In the Forensic Science & Criminal Investigation online internship, the curriculum covers four major domains, i.e., crime scene investigation, fingerprint identification and analysis, document examination, and cyberforensics. In this internship, you will learn about theoretical along with practical aspects of these domains in detail.

This internship will help you learn various skills and techniques involved in the crime scene investigation and evidence analysis process. You will acquire skills like recording and developing fingerprints. You will learn to identify forged signatures. You will also learn how to use various tools for digital evidence analysis.

During this internship, we include live demonstrations of practicals related to the course in the sessions. This will help you get the practical experience. The process is shown and explained thoroughly along with precautions during the demonstration. Some of the practicals include the development of fingerprints, observation of security features under a microscope, analysis of audio files using appropriate software, etc. 

During the internship, you would use specialized forensic tools and software like Autopsy, FTK Imager, Fingerprint Kit, Crime Scene Investigation Kit, and digital microscopes. You will learn how these help in the analysis of different evidence. The process of usage of these tools and software is explained during live demonstrations.

In this internship, for practical experience of crime scene investigations, we include activities such as: you will be provided with some pictures of a crime scene, and based on your observation, you will have to form a hypothesis. We also include assignments for recording the crime scenes.
