Monisha S.

Monisha S is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Forensic Science, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). She has completed her graduation and post-graduation in Forensic Science from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Bangalore. She has been honored with a Medal both in BSc (Forensic Science) and MSc (Forensic Science). She is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Forensic Science from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). She has one year of experience in teaching PG students of Forensic Science. As an Assistant Professor, currently, she is exploring the area of Crime Scene Investigation and General Forensic Science, Questioned Documents and Fingerprint Analysis, Forensic Photography, and Instrumentation for teaching graduate and post-graduate students of Forensic Science. During her academics, she has completed a 15 days internship at Kerala Police Academy, Thrissur, a 1-month internship at Cyber Crime Police Station, Bangalore, and a 1-month internship at Single Digit Fingerprint Bureau, Thiruvananthapuram. Her responsibilities during the above-mentioned internship included client support, filing of FIR, documentation of important records of the station, development, analysis, classification, and matching of fingerprints, writing of reports based on the case files, etc. In the technical area, she is Efficient in using Cyber forensic software like FTK imager, WinHex, Recuva, Cool Edit Pro, PRAAT, HashCalc, and analysis of CCTV footage, etc. She has also received Academic Excellence Awards in the year 2017and 2018 as well as other awards in various co-curricular activities.
