Prof. Amandeep Singh currently holds the distinguished position of Professor at the Department of Forensic Medicine within the esteemed Govt. Medical College Hospital in Chandigarh. His academic journey began with the completion of both his MBBS and MD degrees, which were earned at Baba Farid University in Faridkot. In addition to these qualifications, he achieved the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Forensic Medicine from the National Board of Examinations in New Delhi, cementing his expertise in the field. As a testament to his commitment to advancing the field of forensic medicine, he serves as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Indo-Pacific Academy of Forensic Odontology and is a Joint Editor of the Journal of Punjab Academy of Forensic Medicine. His contributions have extended beyond these roles, as he previously held a position as an Editorial member of the Journal of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine, further solidifying his role in shaping the discourse of the discipline. He boasts 12 research publications in international journals and a substantial 70 research publications in national journals. He has had the privilege of guiding and co-guiding 12 MD students in their theses, imparting his expertise and nurturing the next generation of forensic medicine practitioners. His contributions to the field have not gone unnoticed, with accolades that include the State Award presented by the Chandigarh Administration in 2021, recognizing his meritorious service during the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2018, he was honored with the Young Scientist Award by the Punjab Academy of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, underscoring his significant contributions to the field. Beyond his academic and research roles, he has shared his knowledge as a resource faculty member in various institutions, including the Regional Health Statistics Training Centre (RHSTC) in Mohali, Punjab, the Central Detective Training Institute in Chandigarh, the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA) in Chandigarh, the Institute of Correctional Administration, and the State Institute of Health And Family Welfare in Mohali.
