Dr. Rajesh Kumar

Dr. Rajesh Kumar currently serving as Associate Professor in Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at AIIMS, Deoghar with an overall experience of more than 12 yrs. (including Post graduation period) in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. He has additional charge of Registrar for Birth and Death Registration at AIIMS Deoghar. He completed his Post graduation and Senior Residency from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He has conducted postmortem of about 1500 Medicolegal cases of diverse nature including Homicide (firearm, stab, blunt object assault, strangulation); Suicide (firearm, cut throat, hanging, poisoning); Accidental; Sudden and Natural death cases etc. He Conducted medicolegal examinations, including sexual assault cases, and prepared reports. Offered opinions on postmortem reports, injuries, and weapons. Engaged in histopathological examination for academic and reporting purposes. Extensive academic experience teaching and mentoring at various levels. He is actively involved in research, publishing in reputable journals, presenting at seminars, and serving on medical boards. Additionally, he serves as an assistant editor and member of editorial boards for several forensic science publications.
