Dr. Kapil Kumar

Dr. Kapil Kumar holds the position of Associate Professor and serves as the Coordinator for M.Sc in Forensic Science and Cyber Security within the Department of Biochemistry and Forensic Science at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. A distinguished professional, he played a pivotal role as a pioneer member in establishing the Department of Forensic Science at Gujarat University in 2006. He also served as the Organizing Secretary for the 24th All India Forensic Science Conference in 2018, a collaborative effort by the Department of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs, RSU, and Gujarat University. His contributions extend beyond academic roles, as he has been a resource person for numerous RUSA-sponsored Faculty Development Programmes, Short Term courses, and Refresher courses across various universities, covering a spectrum of topics in Forensic Science and Nanotechnology. He holds a lifetime membership with the Gujarat Science Academy and serves as a Member on the Board of Studies for Forensic Science at Parul University, Vadodara, and for Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and Forensic Science at YCIS, Satara. Notably, he has authored 19 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals, along with four publications, including chapters, with ISBN. Furthermore, his guidance has led seven research scholars to obtain their Ph.D. He is actively involved in consultancy activities related to financial fraud investigations, collaborating with various banks and police organizations.
