Dr. Rajesh Kumar

Dr. Rajesh Kumar is a forensic scientist, academician and researcher and is currently working as Head, Department of Forensic Science at Government Institute of Forensic Science, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, INDIA. He has completed his M. Sc. and Ph. D in Forensic Science. He had been associated with the field of forensic science since 2004. Dr. Kumar has vast experience of working in prestigious forensic science laboratories and academic institution in the country. He has examined more than 300 cases and visited more than 150 crime scenes of diverse nature. As an academician, he has developed curriculum in various disciplines of forensic science, worked in various committees of National and State Level including UGC, Public Service Commissions and many more. He is well known researcher in the fields of Computational and Multimedia Forensics, published several works of international repute, handled research projects funded by various funding agencies including DFSS, New Delhi and RGSTC Mumbai and guided various students at Masters and Ph. D. Levels. He has delivered more than 60 invited talks in conferences, workshops and training programs organized by institutions like IIT Bombay, ISI Kolkata and CBI Academy, Ghaziabad. For his contributions to Forensic Fraternity, he was conferred upon the prestigious Young Scientist Award by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
