Dr. Neelkamal Ganesh Battu

Dr Neelkamal Ganesh Battu, Forensic Odontologist at KEM Hospital Mumbai leads the Forensic Odontology Division in Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. She belongs to the first batch of MSc in Forensic Odontology from National Forensic Sciences University and Professional Diploma in Forensic Archaeology. First to be trained in India for Virtual Autopsy accredited by the Academy of Forensic Medical Sciences , UK. She has worked on  cases  not only from Mumbai and Maharashtra but also from other states of our country. She has given expert opinion on various sensitive cases.The Department uses Advanced Technology such as 3D printing and other 3D softwares to aid in Identification . Their institution is striving to develop forensic odontology since a decade. They have successfully solved cases involving Bitemarks, Smile photograph Analysis , Age estimation in Civil , POCSO and Sports Children etc.. Dr. Battu has participated and been  awarded Best Scientific Presentations in various National and International Conferences. She is also Resource Faculty for Fellowship in Forensic Odontology at D.Y.Patil School of Dentistry
